Goodbye, JP and US Cyworld.

A lot of changes is happening right now: Facebook Live Feed, new Social Site interfaces, and now, the shutting down of the JP and US Cyworld.

Cyworld has played a huge part on my Internet-Social life, from looking for International friends and sharing each others culture, and yeah, friends. Because of Cyworld, my mind was opened to a lot of ideas and diversities. I used to be an all-South Korea-fan before, that’s why I joined Cyworld. I even made different Cyworld accounts to check what’s in Taiwan, China, Japan Cyworld that is different from US and Korea Cyworld. And because of Cyworld, I was able to debate about stuff with a 14-year-old Korean guy.
To read my review (written when I was 15), read here: CyWorld Addiction.
For the debate, check: Debate 1, Debate 2

Each Cyworld has different interfaces and different… Mini-Me’s. I like KO, CH and TW’s Mini-me’s because they look a lot like me (I’m Asian, that’s why), and they have better styles in accessories. But now I haven’t updated those accounts so the minirooms look really plain. I’m sorry.

So here is a last look on my US Cyworld Page. I admit, I really miss the oooooold US Cy. And I will continue to miss it now that they are planning to shut it down. T^T

Bye US Cyworld.

And I regret that I wasn’t even able to take a screenshot of my JP Cyworld. I found that it was already shut down now that it’s too late. I will miss my Japanese friends. Only my US, CH and TW accounts are ready for viewing, but they weren’t updated. Well if you want to be a member of this, check out the original Cyworld page, but it is only available in Korean [and it's already under the NATE website].

June 22, 2009

Yesterday was almost a nice day.

How nice? We almost did nothing on every subject. HAHA, kidding. I really love how some of my professors discuss the lessons because it’s just makes the topics very interesting. I don’t know if it’s because of the way they talk, but I also like their humor. On our Lit102A class, our professor discussed about the importance of Culture and History. Then he asked how can we prove that we are Filipinos and if we are proud we’re one, and then asked again if there were students in the class who are not Filipinos. Pidz and JR told me to raise my hand and tell that I am not Filipino, and they said they’d support me. I said I won’t. And somehow I am not proud I’m a Filipino because there are a lot of things that pull down what Filipinos are. Actually, almost wherever you look, Filipinos are one of the subjects of discrimination. Then we watched a film about Jose Rizal in our RC class, and on the part where there was a Japanese girl laughing, some of my blockmates kept on looking at me and laughed. On our Math102C class, the professor discussed about Logical and Bit Operators, and the converse…inverse stuff. He dismissed us early enough so me, together with Janette and Clarence, stayed outside and chit-chatted. My bag was so wet at that time because Phi accidentally sat on it and then my water bottle opened. Thankfully, my stuff weren’t affected, so it was all right. Then the Math108A professor came, and wrote the numbers of our homework on the board. He asked us to volunteer and answer the problems, and he will give a maximum of 3 points. Since nobody was volunteering, and I don’t want the points go to waste, so I raised my hand and answered one of the easiest problems. I wanted to answer two of the problems but then they might think I am such a show-off and I am sugapa sa points, so I just answered one and explained it.

Then it was dismissal time!! I am supposed to go straight home at 12nn but I wanted to go to the PE orientation of my blockmates, so I told my mom that I will be staying and eating lunch at UST until 5pm. But unfortunately enough, someone texted Rich while we are eating and said something like, “Suspended na ang classes sa Engineering kasi may nag-positive sa AH1N1.TRANSLATED: Classes on the Engineering building is suspended because a student was found positive on the AH1N1 virus. We were all shocked and began to be suspicious of our blockmates who have colds/normal flu. Turned out that the suspicious one only had normal flu, so we passed by the issue about him. But the news made us shocked, and we thought, “What if we are the next carriers? What should we do?”. And Phi began telling that he feels as if his throat wanted to cough, and Iice said that it was all in the mind. She’s right.

We stood by (made tambay XD) at the university’s botanical garden and took pictures [you can find it HERE, but it's a FRIENDS-ONLY album.] when we received a lot of text messages telling that Engineering students are excused for PE class and that our class will be resumed on June 30.

Right now, I’m blogging and reading Calculus. I have no classes until June 29 because of this virus. It really is so fast. Someone told me that there was already 1 case of this virus that made the carrier die. And yet, the DOH still don’t know about it. Maybe they will, soon.

Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Launch Party at Greenbelt Makati

At last! I blogged again! Woo I missed blogging so much… Really sorry for my readers.. Long time no update!

By the way, this post is very interesting. Hahaha!! It’s for all those Harry Potter fans out there, especially those here in the Philippines!

Yesterday, 07-21-2007, a Launch Party of Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows occurred at Greenbelt, Makati. Well, I wasn’t really an avid fan of Harry Potter [you might be wondering why I was there?], but I loved Daniel Radcliffe since then! I haven’t read all the books but I know a lot stuff about Harry Potter. We arrived approximately 1.40pm, and of course, we hurriedly went to Powerbooks where the party will be taking place.

HP7 Launch Party Invitation

If you can’t read it, I’ll scan it tomorrow for a better view. [I have no scanner at home! Poor me!]

The whole party was fun, and of course, a lot of Harry Potter fanatics were present that day. I feel sorry for myself because I think I’m the only teenager there who is an idiot doesn’t know a lot when it comes to Harry Potter 3-6!

But good thing, at least I know most of the characters. Bwahaha, thanks to the information from my classmates. I joined the Professor Snape’s Potion Challenge, but regrettably, I didn’t win! I thought the potion has to be realistic, so I put up science experiments there… I would’ve wrote things like 1 cup of Leprechaun and whatsoever. Well anyway, it was fun, and at least, WE WERE EXPOSED ON THE VIDEO CAMERAS AND PHOTOGRAPHERS! Haha! There were a lot of press people, but we don’t care. As long as we have fun.

By the way, to all Pinoy HP lovers out there, of you’re in the Philippines and planning to buy a copy of HP7, you better reserve now. It takes about like a whole day until it becomes SOLD-OUT again. It costs about Php1450. Badly, I have no money for that.. T^T So I just read the whole book on the spot, but I didn’t finish it.

I was surprised Harry and Ginny were married after 19 years! As well as Ron and Hermione! But I like Luna for Harry, not Ginny. Well, that’s how the story goes… And Snape was the one who died, neither Harry nor Dumbledore. I wasn’t sure okay! I hope I interpreted it correctly… hahaha!!

Take Care guys and God bless!!
